Messenger & Light


The words, “Messenger” and “Light,” may seem sort of random, but there is a similarity in the realm of faith.
The Word of God is the truth; the Bible is the Word of God and a standard of truth. Anything we do that takes away or adds to, diminishes or distorts it. The same thing is true of a Messenger; he only bears the message, if he adds to it or takes away from it, it is no longer the true meaning or the true message.

This holds true in life, we either absorb, reflect, or embellish the light of truth.

1. Joh 17:17 KJV Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.

2. Joh 1:6-9 KJV 6 There was a man sent from God, whose name was John. 7 The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all men through him might believe. 8 He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light. 9 That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world.

3. Mat 6:22-23 KJV 22 The light of the body is the eye: if therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light. 23 But if thine eye be evil, thy whole body shall be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in thee be darkness, how great is that darkness!

7 Amos 7:7-8 KJV 7 Thus he shewed me: and, behold, the Lord stood upon a wall made by a plumbline, with a plumbline in his hand. 8 And the LORD said unto me, Amos, what seest thou? And I said, A plumbline. Then said the Lord, Behold, I will set a plumbline in the midst of my people Israel: I will not again pass by them any more:
